- With MULTIPLE SUBSEQUENT DONATIONS from the Deep Creek Lake Property Owners Association (DCLPOA), We have been able to acquire cellular telephones for all officers who work boat patrol on Deep Creek Lake! The money was dedicated to the acquisition of cellular telephones and service for all NRP Officers who patrol the lake. The DCLPOA made an initial donation in 2002 to start off the cell phone program. Our sincere thanks to them for their support !!

A sponsor in Washington County has agreed to pay for the construction of a new remote-controlled deer decoy for Washington County officers. See Spring 2004 Newsletter on Newsletters page.
WCEF remains committed to acquisition more robotic deer decoys for apprehending road hunters. The cost is $1400.00 + per decoy. Eventually, we would like to acquire several additional decoys for each region of the state of Maryland, perhaps 12 decoys in all. We would like to also acquire several additional ATV's for the areas of the state that they are most needed. And anyone can see the need for both night vision equipment and remote surveillance devices. WCEF has plans for providing those as well.
WCEF would welcome anyone or any organization who would like to sponsor a decoy or piece of equipment. Your donation can be a monetary or equipment gift, to be used as WCEF has the need, or it can be dedicated to a specific purpose. It could be for general distribution, or for a specific area of the state, as you wish. WCEF will insure that you or your organization will get as much public recognition as you desire for your donation.
